MARY  RIVER  LIONS  CLUB  INC.

ALCMF Heart Walker Recipient _ Sophie-Louise Mann

The Club has received some gratifying news imparted by one very excited Cerebral Palsy sufferer – Sophie-Louise.  She will be travelling to Sydney, courtesy of the Starlight Foundation on 10 April for three nights.  Her wish to see Channel 7 Sunrise celebrities, Mel and Koshie, is to be fulfilled on the morning of the 12 April.  (Don’t forget to turn your televisions on to catch the action).

Not only is Sophie going to be their guest that morning, she will be accompanied by her mother Alison, her brother Kingsley and sister Juanita.  The family will also accompany her on excursions to Taronga Zoo, Ocean World and Centre Point.  Another exciting first experience for the family will be a cruise around Sydney Harbour seeing the famous “coathanger” bridge and Opera House.

Members of our Club sincerely thank Starlight Foundation for this generous gift to the recipient of our Heart Walker in the granting of her wish.

Induction of New members

Tonight we will see the induction of two new members to the club. It will be an exciting time for both them and us and we all welcome our new Lions with open arms. Check here for more updates after the meeting - hopefully we will have some photos to publish of this event with names being released (not to protect the innocent).
