Water Quality Monitoring
For 20 years, Mooloolah River Landcare has monitored water quality at defined locations along our beautiful river.
The testing parameters are: ph, electrical conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, temperature and salinity. This important initiative has been supported by the Sunshine Coast Council’s Environment Levy Partnership (ELP) grants program for many years.
To complement this program, we have conducted macroinvertebrate monitoring when funding has been available. All of our data is logged into the national waterbug database, a nationwide waterway monitoring initiative to grow the body of knowledge on the health of our waterways.
Currently we do not have any water testing or monitoring projects underway. To register your interest for any future events or activities, please contact Jessica [email protected]
